Paper-I : SECTION A

(e) Nematocysts—structure and mechanism of action. (10)

2. (a) Discuss the general characteristics of Peripatus and comment on its affinities. (20)
(b) Describe the salient features of phylum Mollusca and classify the same upto classes citing distinguishing characters and examples. (20)

3. (a) Give an account of the larval forms of Echinodermata and add a note on their significance. (20)
(b) Describe the general features and life history of Fasciola and add a note on its relation to man. (20)

4. Give an illustrative account of the organs, mechanism and physiology of respiration in fishes. (40)
